We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:
1. Visa-01 Extraordinary Pizza, Miami Beach
Though it's famously hard to find, Visa-01 has earned a reputation as one of Miami's best pizzerias. Only the freshest ingredients make it into these hand-crafted pizzas and salads. Try the star-shaped pizza that made them famous, and you won't be disappointed.
2. Fat Kahuna's Beach Side Grille, Cocoa Beach
Fat Kahuna's is a tiny restaurant with big, bold flavors. It has earned its place as one of the best restaurants on the Space Coast. With its fresh, creative seafood dishes and a laid-back environment that welcomes flip-flops, it's the best of both worlds. Try the fish tacos, coconut shrimp, or if you're feeling adventurous, shark steak au poivre.
3. Bruno's of Brooklyn Italian Eatery, Fort Myers
This tiny mom and pop eatery has everything you could want in an Italian restaurant. The dining area is tiny, with seating for around 30 people, but you will quickly forget the small space when the delicious food transports you to another world.
4. Border Grill Fresh-Mex, Orlando
Think outside the Bell and visit this ridiculously small but oh-so-authentic Mexican eatery in Orlando. Come try some of the best tacos north of the border.
5. Duetto Pizza and Gelato, Key West
The only thing that could be better than an amazing pizza place is an amazing pizza place that also serves homemade gelato. We're happy to report that this dream is a reality at this tiny restaurant in Key West. Whether for dinner or just dessert, you won't be able to stay away from this adorable little shop.
6. Cultivate Cafe, Destin
Editor's Note: Cultivate Cafe is permanently closed.
If you're looking for something on the healthier side, head to this charming little cafe in Destin where everything is organic, sustainable, local, and as fresh as possible. There are plenty of farm-to-table plates to please vegetarians and meat-eaters alike.
7. Cafe Pasits, South Miami
Now we'll head back down to South Florida to this quaint little French bistro. There's not much elbow room, but this little cafe will give you a truly authentic French experience (or remind you of your favorite trip), and you really can't put a price on that.
8. Mam's Best Food
Mam's has some of the most authentic Mediterranean dishes in the state, and possibly the best hummus you will ever try. Everything is cooked by Mam herself, and it's a deliciously affordable option in Key West. Remember to bring cash.
9. Fish Shack, Pompano Beach
This little gem has seating for fewer than 30, but that hasn't stopped it from becoming a local favorite. Arrive early and bring a big appetite for these fresh, simple seafood classics.
10. Weber's Little Donut Shop, Port St. Joe
Some people are deterred by a long line, but we take it as a good sign. Arrive early (before the 7:30 opening time) to get the best selection, and make sure to try their specialty, the fried croissant.
