Wyoming's landscape is dotted with ghost towns. These former hotspots were once the places where pioneers and Frontiersmen laid down their heads as they worked to establish their new lives in Wyoming. Kirwin, Wyoming is a ghost town located in the heart of the beautiful Shoshone National Forest.

This spot was once a mining town, known for being home to gorgeous structures and friendly people, all in the isolated mountains of Wyoming. But after some time, it became an abandoned town in Wyoming.
In fact, this town was so wonderful that it was a favorite spot of Amelia Earhart! She was even having a cabin built in Kirwin, Wyoming when she disappeared.
In 1907, an avalanche came down from the mountains. It damaged many of the town's buildings and killed three of the townsfolk. After that, many miners packed their goods and left town.
Today, only a few buildings are still standing, like the hauntingly beautiful former mine office. This abandoned town in Wyoming is quite the fascinating place to visit.
You can still see the remnants of an old hotel, several eerie cabins, and the shell of the building that was to be the fated pilot's home. It's quite sad how Kirwin, Wyoming became a ghost town.
