The Museum of Historic Torture Devices is located in the Dells.
That’s right; among the plethora of water parks that fill the area is one of Wisconsin’s weirdest gems.
Far from your typical museum, this one focuses on the darkest chapters in human history.
Inside, you’ll find more than 40 exhibits, which include a variety of torture tools and devices.
Taking the expression gruesome details to a literal level, all items on display are accompanied by signage, explaining the "barbaric ways they were used."
