What To Know Before You Go

While the Wisconsin State Capitol is open to the public seven days a week, year-round, the observation deck is open from mid-April through December. During these months, the Wisconsin State Capitol observation deck is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The observation deck is closed on Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Check the weather before planning your visit, as the observation deck may be closed due to inclement weather.
