The Robey Theatre in Spencer, WV claims to be the oldest continuously operating movie theater in the United States. That's a claim that is contested by some, since the theater has changed hands and made changes to the building a couple of times since its start in 1907. Either way, it still has an impressive history.

In the little town of Spencer, WV, the Robey Theatre is a landmark.

The theatre had its start as a vaudeville company in 1907.
