The One-Of-A-Kind Moonshine And Bourbon Tour You Can Only Take In West Virginia
Black Draft Distillery in Martinsburg, West Virginia, offers tours and tastings of its locally produced whiskey and moonshine.
Moonshine is a West Virginia pastime. There are many ways to make it, but only one way to make it good. This one tour in Martinsburg will tell you how.
Black Draft Distillery was founded in 2013 and offers regular tours of its facility.
Before it was a distillery, it was just a farm that was home to a remarkable Percheron draft horse called Biscuit. The farm would offer rides on Biscuit and many people would come to visit. When Biscuit passed, the family decided to breathe new life into the farm and begin producing whiskey.
The distillery is open for tours and tastings by appointment for anyone interested in the distillation process.
While there, you will learn the fascinating process that turns simple ingredients into the state's finest whiskey and moonshine.
You will also receive complimentary samples of their products, to have a chance purchase items from their mercantile store and receive cocktail recipes, too.
Black Draft Distillery is located at 1140 Kelly Island Road in Martinsburg.
