This Castle Restaurant In West Virginia Is A Fantasy Come To Life

The next time you're anywhere near Parkersburg (and lucky you if you live there!), be sure to let your sweet tooth steer you over to this castle restaurant where, among other delectable delights, you'll find donuts, pastries, cakes, and cookies that are positively dreamy.

JR's Donut Castle has been creating these heavenly delights since 1977. For more than 40 years, JR's has kept the same products, all baked fresh each day.

Locals love grabbing a coveted stool, one of only a handful of seats in the restaurant.

All day long, JR's Donut Castle serves up the best pepperoni rolls around. Eat in and order up a couple to enjoy while at the bakery... or grab a full bag to bring home.

Over on the other side of the castle (located a mere five paces away) you'll find the sweets case filled with yummy delights.

From freshly made Cream Horns, to YumYums, Radio Bars, and more... it's always brimming with sweet goodness.

Donuts of every variety line the shelves of the case behind the counter. Each made fresh daily.

Whether your fave is glazed, creme-filled, or dipped in chocolate, you're sure to find several varieties to create a box.

If you're getting it to go, then we suggest a Power Trio (we just made that name up, so you'll need to explain if you ask for it). The Power Trio is a box of your faves, a bag of pepperoni rolls, and a fresh loaf of delicious homemade bread.

JR's Donut Castle is located at 3318 Emerson Ave, Parkersburg, WV 26104. It's open from 4:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. seven days a week.
