An Arctic Express Expedition Is Coming To Oglebay Good Zoo In West Virginia And It Looks As Magical As It Sounds

Oglebay Good Zoo has always gone all out for the holiday season, and this year is no exception. Let's all bid a warm welcome to the new Arctic Express Expedition at Oglebay Good Zoo, a Christmas-themed ride through the zoo that's an absolutely magical experience.

Come one, come all to Oglebay Good Zoo this holiday season! Christmas is a magical time to visit Oglebay. There are lights (so many beautiful lights!) here at Oglebay Good Zoo.

At the zoo alone, not counting all the twinkling displays at the Oglebay Resort itself, there are 40,000 choreographed lights set to flicker to famous rock Christmas tunes (Led Zeppelin, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, you get the picture). It's a Rockin' Holiday Light Show, indeed!

Santa himself hangs out here at the zoo all the time, and you can get your picture with him.

There's a holiday laser lights show at the Benedum Theater and Planetarium. Zebra smores are an actual thing you can make here.

There's a nightly wish for snow that always magically delivers.

And that's not even the best part! The best part is that Oglebay Good Zoo now has its very own Arctic Express Expedition. A tractor-turned-train ride, this Arctic Express is just as amazing in real life as it sounds.

Christmas carol singing. A narrated tour of all around the zoo. A trip to the red barn to feed the goats. Hot drinks. All this (and more!) is included in every ride on the Arctic Express.

Plus, the cost of admission to the zoo is included in the ticket price. The Arctic Express Expedition is a 90-minute experience, and tickets are $30 per person. Two time options are available each Thursday through Monday during the holiday season.
