The Pacific Northwest's first-ever true crime festival is arriving in October.

Naturally, this seems like the perfect time of year for such a thing.

For two full days, true crime and murder podcasters, guest speakers, and select vendors will gather at the Green River Conference and Events Center.

The Green River Conference and Events Center is a part of Green River College. And it's no coincidence that this area was made famous by the Green River Killer several decades ago.

According to recorded data, there have been around 75 known serial killers in Washington since 1900.

In addition, the Evergreen State has thousands and thousands of unsolved mysteries and creepy true crime incidents.

During this true crime festival, you'll have a chance to listen to quite a few local true crime podcasts live, such as Murder in the Rain.

Washed Away, PNW Haunts & Homicides, and Unexplained Oregon will also be present (just to name a few).

Olympia Oddities shares tales of PNW-based crime, paranormal events, and more.

Festival attendees can also enjoy guest speakers like Steve Hodel and award-winning author Gregg Olsen.

Listening to murder podcasts has become a favorite pastime in recent years — and if you've become a fan, this is your chance to learn a lot about local history in one weekend.

With any luck, this will become an annual affair.

Would you attend a true crime festival? Tickets are still available for this year's event.
