If you're looking for the city with the most extensive shopping options, look no further than Washington's largest city, Seattle. From high end department stores like Nordstrom to charming boutiques like Moorea Seal, you'll find it all in the Emerald City, including some pretty unique places to shop. And the Georgetown Trailer Park Mall just might be the most unique of them all.
The Georgetown Trailer Park Mall is exactly what it sounds like. It's a collection of eight very distinctive vintage trailers, each offering a huge selection of treasures.
It all started in 2010 when Shannon and Bruce Andersen came up with the idea. Its first inception was small, but in 2012, it moved to its current location at 5805 Airport Way South.
The mall is a membership-based sustainable retail model focused on the promotion and advancement of sustainable, local, reused and handmade products.
Each trailer houses a permanent, independently run shop. Pop-ups and table tops can be rented as needed.
You'll find all kinds of amazing things here.
Urban Treasury sells repurposed items, vintage clothing, reclaimed wood furniture and home decor.
There's even an art gallery trailer called Royal Mansion Gallery.
There's even a tempting cake shop called Deep Sea Sugar & Salt.
Sometimes the Trailer Mark Mall hosts fun parties and events with live music.
The Georgetown Trailer Park Mall is only open on weekends, so plan accordingly.
They're open on Saturdays from noon - 7PM and Sundays from 11-4PM.
The Georgetown Trailer Park Mall is definitely a unique attraction. Add it to your list of must-see spots in Washington.
