Is there anything better than fall in Virginia? The crisp autumn air, the beautiful outdoor attractions, and the endless festivities make this season one of the very best. If you agree and are looking for a way to celebrate, we suggest attending one of the oldest apple festivals in Virginia, the Graves Mountain Apple Harvest Festival. Gearing up for its 46th year, this festival promises entertainment and fun for all ages.
Welcome to the annual Harvest Festival! This cherished tradition is a way to celebrate the region's farms and farmers.
Graves Mountain Farm is tucked away in the beautiful Madison County region, surrounded by idyllic farmlands and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Scheduled for the first three weekends in October, the festival promises to delight all ages with a mix of fun activities, educational opportunities, shopping, and delicious treats.
One of the best parts about the festival is the chance to pick your own delicious apples, grown right on site.
Other fun activities include a hay maze, trail rides, live Bluegrass music, pony rides, and over 70 local shopping vendors.
If you work up an appetite, rest assured that there will be plenty of seasonal treats to enjoy, such as these homemade apple cider donuts.
Other delicious foods include BBQ sandwiches, homemade ice cream, fries, burgers, and Brunswick stew.
So whether it's your first year attending the festival or your tenth, you'll cherish taking part in such a beloved Virginia tradition.
