Make the Most of February by Attending the Polar Bear Celebration in Utah

Are you looking for a fun, family-friendly event this February in Utah? Well, there's perhaps no better family-friendly place in Utah than the Hogle Zoo, which will host its Polar Bear Celebration on Saturday, February 22. So, round up the kiddos, get in the car, and make your way to Salt Lake City for one of the best events of the winter!

While the air still has a bit of an Arctic chill this winter, the Polar Bear Celebration is the perfect outdoor event. Held at Hogle Zoo from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, families can come and learn all about polar bears, their lives in the Arctic, and how they have become a vulnerable species over the years.

With a full event schedule over the course of 4 hours, kids will be kept busy as they learn about the Arctic climate and polar bears that have adapted to its cold, harsh conditions. You'll find activities, zookeeper chats, demos, information stations, and games at either the Rocky Shores or Tidewater Cove sections of the zoo or both.

Kids can create a snowflake craft, listen to polar bear stories, play polar bear games, and listen to all the knowledge the zookeepers will share about the zoo's resident polar bears, Neva and Nikita. At 11:30 a.m. and 2:45 p.m., there will be fun and exciting seal and sea lion training demos.

The Polar Bear Celebration is fun and informative and will hopefully inspire anyone who attends to share everything they learn about the Arctic, polar bears, and climate change with others.

Admission and annual membership entries on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, include the Polar Bear Celebration festivities that kids and adults alike can enjoy.
