Step Into A Van Gogh Painting At This Immersive Art Exhibit Coming To Texas This Year

It's one thing to read about famous paintings and view them in textbooks, but what if you could step inside them? Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience is a 360-degree art exhibit showcasing some of Vincent Van Gogh's most iconic works, and it's coming to Texas this summer.

Coming to both Dallas and Houston this summer, Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience brings you up close and personal with one of the most iconic artists in history.

The 20,000-square-foot light and sound spectacular will span two stories and feature projections of Van Gogh's works, including the iconic Starry Night.

Designed with social distancing guidelines in mind, the experience is hands-free and totally digital.

Between the large central room with floor-to-ceiling projections and separate exhibits that outline various aspects of his life, technique, and influence, there's plenty of room to spread out.

In addition to the 360-degree projections, guests can also enter the world of Van Gogh via virtual reality.

This 10-minute journey takes you through a day in the life of Van Gogh, detailing the inspiration behind eight of his most celebrated paintings.

Although it doesn't seem like the most kid-friendly outing, the experience welcomes artists young and old.

Hands-on activities promise to keep the little ones entertained from start to finish.

The experience will visit Atlanta first, opening on May 19.

It is then set to travel the world, heading to Texas in August.

Your visit will take between 60 and 75 minutes, and the exact location is to be announced (look out for the big reveal closer to opening day).

Hours are 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on weekdays, and 9 a.m. until 11 p.m. on weekends and holidays.

Tickets for the Dallas show are already on sale.

Tickets start at $34.90 per person, and booking for the Dallas experience is already available online. Visit the exhibit's website or Facebook page to learn more.
