The oldest continuously operating library in Texas, the Rosenberg Library was dedicated in 1904, replacing its predecessor, the Galveston Mercantile Library.
Named after its patron, Henry Rosenberg, the library was expanded in 1971, nearly doubling the floor space to include a children’s library, a history center, galleries, and a computer lab.
Upon stepping inside, the Second Renaissance Revival architecture will immediately whisk you back in time.
