Lagoonfest Texas offers a tropical oasis with floating cabanas and various water activities near Houston.

We’ve told you about inflatable waterparks in Texas, but what about floating cabanas? This unique concept is just one way you can beat the heat at this 12-acre oasis that brings the tropics to Houston’s Bay Area. Read on to find out more about Lagoonfest Texas, one of the coolest places to relax in Texas City this summer. Oh, before I forget, you’ll want to pack your camera to capture some Lagoonfest Texas photos for your IG collection.

Part of the master-planned community of Lago Mar, Lagoonfest Texas offers the only public-access lagoon in the state.

Boasting 6,000 feet of shoreline and beautiful, blue-green waters, this tropical oasis is less than an hour from downtown Houston.

The lagoon has one area designated for Lago Mar residents only, but the rest is fair game.

Imagine spending a summer day strolling along a white sand beach without a care in the world. There's nothing better!

Visitors can enjoy tons of water activities, including both single and tandem kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, sailboats, and more.

You can also take a guided boat tour of the lagoon, plunge down an inflatable slide, or try your hand at an aqua cycle!

There's even a floating waterpark where you can test your skills and have a blast while doing so.

Please note: access to water activities is not included with the price of admission.

When it comes to chilling out by the water, you have several options.

From lounge chairs with umbrellas to cabanas to party pavilions to even private rooftop party decks, there are plenty of places to sit and soak up some rays.

You can even rent floating cabanas with shaded covers - the coolest way to beat the heat in the summer! Each cabana seats up to eight guests, and special food and beverage options are available for purchase.

With your toes in the water or the sand - and a cold drink in hand - splash the day away under the summer sun.

Visit the official Lagoonfest Texas website or Lagoonfest Facebook page for details, including dates, hours, and pricing information.
