Winter Wonderland Is The Mesmerizing Christmas Display In South Dakota With Tens Of Thousands Of Glittering Lights

Good news, South Dakota: While Christmas may be here before we know it, there is still plenty of time to get out and enjoy this most wonderful time of the year! Are you not sure what to do next? We highly recommend taking in the annual Watertown Optimist Club's Winter Wonderland.

Located in - you guessed it - Watertown, the Winter Wonderland is precisely as the name implies: wonderful!

Running every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night from Thanksgiving Day through Christmas, the Winter Wonderland is about as good as it gets thanks to not only the displays themselves but the fact that you can enjoy them from inside your warm car.

Sponsored by the aforementioned Watertown Optimist Club, the Winter Wonderland features dozens of unique displays, many of which are the creations of local businesses and clubs.

The Watertown Optimist Club's Winter Wonderland is open every night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (including both Christmas eve and day).

Admission to the Winter Wonderland is always free, but goodwill donations are much appreciated.
