You’ll Absolutely Love This 90 Mile Yard Sale Going Right Through South Dakota

If you love hunting for treasures and bargains, you probably look forward to yard sale season every year. There's an epic, 90-mile-long sale coming to the Mount Rushmore State in June, and it is by far the best yard sale in South Dakota.

This year marks the seventh annual year of Scavenger's Journey, a 90-mile-long yard sale that takes place every June on the weekend following Father's Day. This year (2019), Scavenger's Journey - the biggest yard sale in South Dakota - is scheduled for June 21st through the 23rd.

Make your way from Kadoka to Mt. Vernon (or vice versa), searching for treasures and bargains along the way.

Like any yard sale, you'll find a huge variety of interesting items as you make your way along the route.

From vintage vinyl...

...to antique furniture...

...to clothing, household items, and bikes, you're sure to find several things that you just can't live without at the best rummage sale in South Dakota.

Some communities even host indoor spaces for vendors to set up their wares.

Along the way, you'll get to explore some of central South Dakota's most charming little towns, and each has businesses offering special deals during the sale.

Purchase an item during Scavenger's Journey and take a photo of your treasure with the vendor. You'll have one week to give it a makeover, then take an "after" photo and submit it to be considered for the contest. You'll need to register for the Flip Contest ahead of time at Fabulous Finds.
