This Upcoming Sunflower Festival In South Carolina Will Make Your Summer Complete

Springs Farm's first Sunflower Festival in Fort Mill, featuring sunflower picking, arts and crafts, food trucks, and live music, has been canceled due to deer damage.

Editor's Note: Unfortunately, according to Springs Farm, just two days after this article published, 80% of the four-acre sunflower field was demolished by deer over the span of a single weekend. As a result, Springs Farms has cancelled the sunflower festival for 2019. We're saddened by the news and by the loss of the field - and hope this awesome festival "springs" back to life next year!

Few things turn heads quite like a blooming sunflower field - except, perhaps four acres of blooming sunflowers! Go ahead now and mark your calendar for the first-ever sunflower festival at Springs Farm in Fort Mill. The sunflower fields are primed to be blooming the weekend of September 14-15, and that's exactly the dates of this upcoming 2-day sunflower festival in South Carolina.

The fields include a few varieties of sunflowers ranging in height from 3 - 6 feet. And there will be plenty of roomy rows for walking among the bright yellow blooms.

Residents of Fort Mill, Rock Hill, and the surrounding communities already know when Springs Farm does something, they go all-out! Their first Sunflower Festival is looking to follow suit!

The fest will take place over on their springtime strawberry fields, where visitors will find rows and rows (four acres worth) of cheerful sunflowers.

And that's not all: you'll be able to pick your own and bring some home! The prices are $2/stem, $12/mason jar full, $24/bucket.

Arts and craft vendors will be on hand and you can bet there will be plenty of sunflower-themed hand-crafted items for sale. Plus, when you get hungry, local food trucks will have tons of delicious food. There's bound to be something for every taste.

Live music and tractor rides round out the day for the first Sunflower Festival at Springs Farm in Fort Mill.
