The Mission District is located in east-central San Francisco. It is bordered to the east by U.S. Route 101, and its eastern neighbor, Potrero Hill. The heart of the Mission on Valencia between 16th street and 24th Street.

Neighborhood history centers around Mission San Francisco de Asis church, the namesake of the neighborhood, and the oldest building in the city. The Mission offers a lot of history in one neighborhood.
