1. Winter Walk - Union Square, San Francisco

Winter Walk SF takes place in the heart of Union Square and runs until Dec. 31. Enjoy open air cocktail gardens, food trucks, live performances, and even carolers.

2. Holiday Happenings on Fourth Street - 4th St, Berkeley

Check out 4h Street in Berkeley featuring musical events, holiday celebrations, lights display through January 2, 2018. Expect caroling and Santa Claus Photo opportunities on weekends!

3. Gingerbread House - Fairmont Hotel, San Francisco

Go to the Fairmont in Nob Hill and check out the stunning gingerbread house for free. The Fairmont gingerbread house stands at 22 feet tall and 23 feet wide, and is decorated to the max! This is a great photo spot!

4. Lighted Boat Parade - Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco

The Lighted Boat Parade is on December 15 from 6 to 8 pm. Expect a fleet or around 60 boats adorned in lights and holiday decorations. The boats will parade along the waterfront, lighting up the Bay with holiday glitter.

5. Tom and Jerry’s House - 3650 21st St, San Francisco, 94114

Tom and Jerry’s House is a free Christmas decor display on a steep Noe Valley street that is the most over-the-top festive house in the city. The tacky Christmas display is at 21st and Church Streets in Dolores Heights.

6. Holiday Train Exhibit - 100 Larkin Street, San Francisco

See the Hogwarts Express and Polar Express zip holiday train set including Thomas the Tank Engine. Come and see the awesome display on the Second Floor of the Main Library in San Francisco until January 7, 2018.

7. Ghirardelli Square

Ghirardelli Square always has a lot of lights and a festive atmosphere for the holidays. Enjoy the historic "Ghirardelli" sign lit for the holidays and the chocolate store putting up holiday decorations all over the store. Grab some chocolate for X-mas as well.

8. Downtown Lights - Embarcadero Boardwalk

Venture to the Embarcadero boardwalk and admire the awesome Christmas/Holiday lights of downtown San Francisco.

9. Christmas in the Park - 194 S Market Street, San Jose, 95113

Come to San Jose and enjoy awesome festivities,entertainment, and of course illuminated and decorated trees for this annual event to celebrate Christmas. See 600 illuminated trees, more than have ever been assembled in one place per Guinness Book of World Records. This is record breaking event for the holidays.

10. NightLife - Golden Gate Park, San Francisco

NightLife at the California Academy of Sciences will hold a Bazaar Bizarre featuring indie artists, designers, and craftspeople offering on December 14 from 6 to 10 p.m. for a night of holiday fun and local artists' goods.
