Tackle A 7-Lane Snow Tubing Hill At Yawgoo Valley Ski Area In Rhode Island This Year

Yawgoo Valley Ski Area and Water Park in Rhode Island offers year-round family fun with skiing and snow tubing, relying on artificial snowmaking.

When it comes to winter recreation in Rhode Island, skiing and snow tubing might not be the first things that come to mind. Luckily, Rhody is home to the Yawgoo Valley Ski Area and Water Park, a year-round destination that takes advantage of both the sun and the snow. And while the opening of the snow tubing hill has been a bit delayed this season, that gives us something to look forward to in the weeks to come.

The Yawgoo Valley Ski Area and Water Park is located in Exeter.

Since its 1965 opening, it has been known as Rhode Island's only year-round destination for family fun as well as Rhody's first chairlift served ski area.

If you're thinking that Rhode Island usually doesn't get enough snow for something like this... you're right.

Yawgoo relies heavily on artificial snowmaking to make it all happen. Luckily, it certainly doesn't feel artificial when you're coasting downhill.

The ski area is fun, but the seven lane snow tubing park is a popular activity the entire family can enjoy.

Typically, the park is open from mid-December to mid-March. However, the company website announced that opening day would likely be after New Year's Day this season.

This year's snow tuning rates have not been released yet, but the cost is usually quite affordable for the experience.

It's tough to put a price on the amazing feeling of flying down a snow-covered hill.

This year, all snow tubing tickets will need to be purchased in advance since capacity will be limited.

Face coverings and social distancing will be required, and no groups or parties will be permitted to gather.

The snow tubing park at Yawgoo Valley will awaken your inner child.

This is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon and get your fill of snow sports for the season.

Yawgoo Valley will announce the opening date for snow tubing soon. If you're curious, you can give them a call or check for updates here.
