We've all probably had a family argument – or two – about where to spend a day of fun. After all, family members each have their own interests and ideas of fun. Instead of spending hours scouring online for something to do, head over to the Works in Pennsylvania, a massive indoor playground. The whole family’s pretty much guaranteed to find something they’ll enjoy.
It’s all about having fun at Works of Wyomissing, a massive 125,000-square-foot entertainment complex that boasts a ton of fun activities – from a trampoline park to indoor go-karts.
This indoor playground in Pennsylvania promises a ton of fun for kids and adults of all ages.
That, however, is just the beginning of all you can do at this indoor playground, where time quickly melts away. The whole family can join in on the fun at Xtreme Air, a trampoline park that features a ninja course, dodgeball, and a foam pit.
You'll have to buy a pair of Xtreme Air jump socks to participate. If you already have a pair from a previous visit, bring them along. Other socks are not allowed in the trampoline park.
If you're going specifically for the trampoline park, call ahead of time to make sure it is open. It closed in the fall of 2022 for renovations and is expected to reopen sometime in early 2023.
If it’s video games that bring the family together, you’ll find a ton in the game room. Buy a game pass, so you can play as many – or as few – games as you want.
Score a great deal if you visit on Wednesdays when games are half-price. (Keep in mind that deals can change at any time, so you might want to check the official website, linked below, to make sure half-price Wednesdays are still offered before heading over.)
Have a need for speed? Head over to Slick Willy’s for a little go-karting action. Climb into one of the electric go karts that hit speeds of up to 50 miles per hour, or watch the kiddos as they speed around the track.
If the kiddos – and you – love climbing, you’ll love Ballocity, which features climbing, slides, and foam ball launchers. Don’t forget to bring socks. (Adults can also sit back and relax in the parents lounge.)
Make sure you save some time to visit the Laser Mill, where you can engage in a thrilling game of laser tag. Participants must be a minimum of six years old and at least 42 inches tall.
Bring your friends along for this fast-paced adventure. You'll also play with other visitors; games are open to the public.
When you need a break and a bite to eat, stop by one of the indoor playground’s two restaurants to relax and refuel for more fun.
The Works Restaurant, which features a menu for adults and a separate one for the kiddos, serves such favorites as pizza, sandwiches, and wraps. A variety of entrees, including steak, are also on the menu.
Building 24 Kitchen & Bar serves a selection of small plates and large plates. From smoked wings to cast-iron seared ribeye, the menu offers something for everyone.
