With Several Different Attractions, This Winter Festival In Pennsylvania Is A Must-Visit

While Pennsylvania’s cold and snowy days can make it oh-so-easy to want to curl up under the covers with a hot drink all winter long, sometimes we want to get outdoors and enjoy all that the season has to offer. Sometimes even a brisk walk around the neighborhood can be just what we need to help keep cabin fever at bay. For fun all season long, plan a visit to Winter in Dilworth Park, an epic winter festival in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

For three glorious months, Dilworth Park in Philadelphia transforms into a winter wonderland of activity – a winter garden, ice skating, a holiday market, and more – and entertainment that promises something for everyone.

Winter in Dilworth Park generally runs from early November through late February, although beginning and end dates may vary depending on the attraction.

Check the official website of Center City District Parks for specific days and times for each attraction.

Step away from the hectic pace of the holiday season with a visit to Wintergarden on the Greenfield Lawn, billed as an outdoor sanctuary for guests.

Meander through the garden that’s aglow in twinkling lights and adorned with reindeer topiaries. If you’re 21 or older, sip on a warm mulled wine.

If you’re visiting during Christmastime, explore the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market. Check out the unique handmade gifts, crafts, and other goodies from more than 70 vendors.

Follow your Christmas shopping by gliding around the ice at the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink. Skating sessions last for 90 minutes and can be reserved in advance online.

You can also rent skating aids for the kiddos (under 10) and a locker when you buy your skating tickets.

Grab a delicious bite from one of the onsite eateries, including Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin, Dilworth Park Café, or the Starbucks Kiosk, then sit down to eat and get toasty by one of the fire pits in the park.

Head over to the official website of Center City District Parks to learn more about Winter at Dilworth Park. Or, stop by the Facebook page of Center City District.
