A trip to the charming town of Selinsgrove means a mandatory visit to a massive thrift store that boasts thousands of items while lending a helping hand to the community. But, this thrift store also holds another distinction that no other thrift shop in the country can claim: It is America's largest thrift store.
Claiming 74,000 square feet of space, Community Thrift Store & Donation Center in Selinsgrove has earned the title of America's largest thrift store.
One of several Community Aid Thrift Shops in Pennsylvania - Hanover, Mechanicsburg, and Lancaster also have locations - the Selinsgrove thrift store opened to much fanfare and Black Friday-like crowds back in 2014.
Community Aid Thrift Store's main goal is to raise money that is then distributed to a variety of local organizations, including schools, churches, temples, synagogues, and non-profits.
The massive thrift store also initiated the Care Card Program, in conjunction with several local organizations, providing those in need with a card that allows them to shop at Community Aid's locations, for clothes and shoes, for free.

Community Aid Thrift Store features in-store promotions throughout the week. Wednesday, for example, is Family Day with shoppers receiving half off of all items, except those already on sale.
