Say goodbye to summer - well, unofficially, at least - with a visit to La Festa Italiana, an annual celebration that's drawn visitors from near and far since 1976.

This free festival has become a Labor Day tradition for many Pennsylvanians.

The four-day festival is slated for Labor Day weekend, Sept. 1-4, 2023, at Courthouse Square in Downtown Scranton.

One of the highlights of this beloved festival is, of course, the delicious selection of Italian food. Vendors sell everything from pizza and pasta to ravioli.

You'll find plenty of seating to eat and watch the live entertainment.

If you've got a sweet tooth, you'll have plenty of chances to send it into a tizzy. How about trying a classic cannoli or Italian ice?

While the festival celebrates all things Italian, vendors usually sell other favorite foods, including barbecue, funnel cakes, and gyros.

Vendors will also be on hand to sell a variety of goods.

The epic end-of-summer celebration also features a full menu of live entertainment. (This year's entertainment schedule has not yet been released.)

Previous years have given guests the opportunity to play bocce.
