Every year, over 20,000 people come to Rush Springs to enjoy this summertime festival. The town is famous for its black diamond and royal sweet watermelons, and once you try them, you'll see why.
Over 50,000 pounds of watermelon are devoured during this event.
For just $1 you can enjoy some of the best watermelon around or pick-up a free slice on Saturday afternoon.
The town is proud of its watermelon and every year picks a Rush Springs Watermelon Queen to represent their community.
At the festival, enjoy carnival rides, local vendors, a seed-spitting contest, live entertainment, and lots more.
Friday evening there will be a parade down the center of town, so don't miss seeing the queen and watermelon-themed businesses.
