What began as a whim -- a way to spread a bit of Christmas cheer in their neighborhood -- has become a beloved holiday light display many Ohioans eagerly await each year.

Unique features like a hand-built Christmas train commingle with an ever-multiplying array of displays and scenes, creating one great, big, dazzling spectacle that's so bright, it's probably visible from space... or at least Santa's sleigh.

The Hagerman brothers had no idea decorating their Mansfield homes for Christmas would last as long as it has, but, alas, all good things must come to an end.

This year will be the final year of the Hagerman Christmas Lights, and the "farewell" season is worth a trip to Mansfield, Ohio, to experience.
