Over the last few years, pickleball has exploded in popularity, offering even non-sporty types an accessible and fun way to recreate. My husband and I have jumped on the pickleball bandwagon, purchasing a set of paddles and taking advantage of a neighborhood park. To reserve a spot, simply select a time and level that fits with your schedule, and then book it through the site. You'll have to create a login the first time, but once you've set that up, selecting a pickleball session is easy-peasy!

What do you need to play pickleball? Great question! One of the best things about this sport is how affordable and accessible it is. You can pick up a pair of paddles at pretty much any price point; I recommend going with a Starter Set that includes two paddles, balls, and some sort of bag for easy transport.

Sweat bands and Ray-Bans definitely required.

Of course, if you don't want to invest in pickleball gear just yet, Pickle & Chill provides lending racquets and balls for guests to use.

Something I love about pickleball is how accessible and fun it is for all ages and athletic ability. At the courts by my house, my husband and I are often the youngest folks on the court, and we watch the other teams to pick up on their moves!
