The Dazzling Sky Fest Over Fort Stevenson Is Returning To North Dakota This May

When you think about timeless, simple activities that can put a smile on anyone's face, what comes to your mind? For many, that's flying a kite! There's nothing quite as wholesome and fun as attaching some string to paper or fabric and watching it soar up in the sky. Whether you haven't flown a kite in decades or are a die-hard kite enthusiast, there is a kite festival in North Dakota that you don't want to miss. It's coming up later this month, and here's what you need to know.

Fort Stevenson State Park is a well-loved North Dakota destination, and over Memorial Day Weekend the sky above it will fill with color.

From May 29 to May 31st, 2021, the park's annual Sky Fest over Fort Stevenson will take place.

Hundreds of kites will be flown over the park, creating some beautiful visuals.

You can bring your own kite and watch it soar or enjoy kite professionals sending their massive and unique creations up into the air. Pack a picnic and you've got a perfect day.

Along with all the kite flying, there are other activities for people of all ages. Tents set up will offer kite building and more.
