Get ready, North Carolina: Thomas the Tank Engine will be making a special appearance this summer at Tweetsie Railroad in Blowing Rock - and you won't want the little ones in the family to miss out. Hop aboard for an opportunity to take a ride on a train pulled by the popular engine from the children's book series.

Thomas arrives June 11th in Blowing Rock from the Island of Sodor, the fictional location of the Railway Series of books.

Tweetsie will host the colorful blue engine from June 11th through June 20.

Take a ride pulled by Thomas, the No. 1 blue engine and also have the opportunity to meet Sir Topham Hatt.

Passengers of all ages will enjoy this Day Out with Thomas, so bring the whole family and enjoy the ride.

Your ticket for the Day Out with Thomas includes park admission.

It also includes one ride with Thomas and various Thomas-themed activities, including having a photo taken with Sir Topham Hatt.

Tickets for this mostly annual event usually sell out quickly, so be sure to get yours soon.
