The Rustic Distillery In New York That Will Give You The Tour Of A Lifetime
Taconic Distillery in Hudson Valley offers unique whiskey tasting experiences and outdoor dining on a picturesque 113-acre property.
New York's Hudson Valley Region has long been an exciting area of our state to explore but throughout the most recent years, this region has become even more intriguing. You'll find people from all over the Empire State and beyond heading to the Hudson Valley to experience some of the country's best rock-climbing opportunities, the chance to stay at a magical mountain house, or even just to see all that our small towns have to offer. Bringing you to Dutchess County, keep scrolling to find out why this rural distillery will be your next stop.
Established in the Hudson Valley back in 2013, Taconic Distillery sits on a gorgeous 113-acre property in Stamfordville.
The second largest distillery in New York, Taconic Distillery is exclusively open one day a week.
Now that things are finally warming up here in New York, you'll start to see visitors making use of the distillery's outdoor patio and picnic areas.
As much as we love to sit out in the sun and soak in the sights of the gorgeous property, it's inside where you'll have the most fun.
Giving you a greater peak at how all of these amazing whiskeys come together, the distillery's Tasting Room is open only on Saturdays.
The distillery recycles their used barrels so that they can be used to make bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup, through a partnership with the Catskill Mountain Sugar House. Just one of the many fascinating things that you'll learn during your visit here.
Once inside the tasting room and distillery, you'll pick your poison for the afternoon.
Pull up to the bar or lounge in one of the cozy chairs that they have available, and you'll begin to see why everyone raves about this distillery so much.
Using their hand-crafted bourbon, rye whiskeys, and rum to make amazing cocktails, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. each Saturday you can get a taste of what Taconic Distillery creates here.
While you'll find these amazing whiskeys stocked at my local stores and restaurants, there's nothing quite like experiencing a look at this distillery for yourself.
So, the next time you're wondering what you can do with a free Saturday — head on down to Taconic Distillery in Stamfordville, New York.
