A Brand New Water Playground Is Opening In New York Just In Time For Endless Summer Fun

LEGOLAND New York in Goshen is opening a new water playground this Memorial Day weekend, offering various water attractions and activities for families.

There's a new water playground in New York that's opening very soon, and you'll want to be first in line. Located just 60 miles outside of New York City in the Hudson Valley town of Goshen, LEGOLAND New York has a brand new attraction that promises to keep you cool on those hot summer days.

LEGOLAND New York is one of the state’s most unique attractions.

It opened to the public in 2021, making LEGOLAND New York the first addition to the northeast’s theme park scene since 1974! Clocking in at 500 acres, it’s the world’s largest LEGOLAND, though the park only has about 150 acres built out (which means there’s plenty of room to grow!).

Specifically designed for kids, the park features seven LEGO-themed lands as well as a themed hotel for folks who want to turn a day trip into a weekend family vacation.

Between the theme park rides and live shows, you can bet kids and adults of all ages will have a memorable time here.

Be sure to take a stroll through MINILAND, an impressive replica of 10 popular destinations all across the country all built entirely out of LEGO bricks!

It took 22,231,368 bricks to construct these landscapes!

LEGOLAND is always expanding the park, and the new water playground is the newest addition to the LEGOLAND scene.

This new water playground in New York is the best way to beat the heat on those hot summer days.

The water playground features several waterslides and water attractions including everyone’s favorite bucket that dumps 318 gallons of water regularly.

Kids will also have the opportunity to build their own LEGO boat to race with others!

Kids will have a blast splashing the day away.

There are lifeguards on duty, too, so everyone is kept safe.

When hunger strikes, head over to one of the many restaurants within the park.

LEGOLAND has both traditional sit-down restaurants and more casual, grab-and-go options. Be sure to save room for some of the iconic desserts here like the funnel cakes or Granny's apple fries.

This new attraction opens on Memorial Day weekend, the last weekend of May.

The playground is only accessible by reservation, and reservations are on a first come first serve basis so be sure to make your reservation soon! Reservations are free to make, and this keeps the playground from being over-crowded.

Visit LEGOLAND Resort New York's website for more information, including season tickets and day passes, and be sure to follow LEGOLAND on Facebook so you don't miss out on any upcoming events, including the Grand Opening of the playground!
