The Hatch Valley Chile Festival In New Mexico Is About The Hottest Event You Can Experience
Mark your calendars, because this festival is one that you don't want to miss. The Hatch Chile Festival is taking place on September 2nd, 3rd, and 4th this year (2022) and may just be the hottest one yet. Taking place in the village of Hatch, New Mexico, the Hatch Chile Festival is the perfect activity for your Labor Day weekend.
The Hatch Chile Festival features a parade, carnival, all sorts of different restaurants and some of the best food vendors in the state.
Additionally, there will be lots of craft vendors throughout the festival---and competitions that the Hatch Chile Festival is famous for. The Hatch Chile Festival is well known for the Chile Eating Contest and the Watermelon Eating Contest, which are always so much fun to watch and cheer for. Finally, other tournaments include the Chile recipe contest, a chile growing contest, and even a cornhole tournament, so make sure you bring your A-game!
It's hard to decide if the Carnival or the Parade is more fun! The Carnival is open Friday through Sunday, and features all sorts of your favorite carnival rides! The Parade rolls at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning and travels through the village of Hatch.
Be sure to stop by and check out the vendors. There will be live chile roasting happening on-site, and lots of opportunities to learn about chiles and try various dishes featuring them!
In addition to all the exciting chile vendors, you can find all the common festival vendors, such as cotton candy and lemonade stands.
The Hatch Chile Festival is a blast every year, and is a great place for people to come together and celebrate the village of Hatch and the delicious chile pepper.
