This public park in Wayne, New Jersey is regularly described as tranquil. The gardens vary by season and there are plenty of paths to explore.

2. The Delaware River and Raritan Canal

This is for people who love to ride bikes or go on long walks. Go along this section of the Delaware River to really get your thoughts in order.

3. Saddle River Country Park

It doesn't get more peaceful than Saddle River Country Park. The 596-acre Bergen County Park has all kinds of amenities.

4. Parvin State Park

You'll find this total hidden gem by the end of the Pine Barrens. With forests, lakes, and swamps, this is a great spot for a hike.

5. Stone Harbor Point

This gorgeous beach isn't like any other beach in New Jersey. Located in Cape May, it's a designated conservation area. Nice and quiet, people enjoy it for bird-watching and exploring the dunes.

What better place to find peace and quiet than the top of the mountain? A hike around Wildcat Ridge will bring you exactly that.

7. The New Jersey State Botanical Garden at Skylands

The absolutely massive botanical gardens in Ringwood offer some of the most natural beauty in the state. Admire the specially designed gardens here, and check out the acres of woodland surrounding the gardens.
