For More Than 50 Years, This Small Town Has Hosted The Longest-Running Craft Festival In New Jersey

Chester, NJ hosts a renowned craft show twice a year, attracting art lovers and food enthusiasts from around the state.

Chester is one of New Jersey's most unique cultural towns. And twice a year, it becomes the hub of New Jersey's art scene and is visited by craft lovers from around the state - because the craft show in Chester, NJ is easily the state's best! For fifty years now, art lovers have come to Main Street, which is transformed into a massive hub of tents selling local products, artistic services, and a lot of delicious small-batch goodies to take home! The festival takes place in early summer and early fall, and this year's fall Chester Craft Show is held on September 9th and 10th. If past pictures of this event are any indication, you'll want to spend a whole day or two exploring this craft show! I know I always come back with a bag of new items I didn't know I needed until I saw them!

The Chester Craft Show is a twice-a-year massive event, and it's only a few weeks away. The fall event is being held on September 9th and 10th from 10AM to 5PM, rain or shine.

Over eighty unique shops and eateries will be plying their wares, so the odds are there will be something for everyone.

This is a great opportunity to not just buy things, but meet with local artisans who you may want to hire for events.

The highlight of the fair, for me, is definitely the many artisan food vendors! Some of these snacks are seriously delicious!

And if that's not enough food, many fan-favorite food vendors and trucks will be on site to keep everyone fed and happy.

This is a sprawling event, and many people show up assuming they'll be here for an hour and taking the full day.

Fall is just getting started around the area, so keep an eye out for more family-friendly events in Morris County.
