New Jersey’s Most Beloved Food Truck Festival Is Back For 2023

Is there any better sign of Spring and Summer than the sound of food trucks coming up the street? Whether it's an old-school ice cream truck or a modern mobile kitchen selling top-notch barbecue, New Jersey has some amazing food trucks - and on May 13th, 2023, they're all converging on Maywood! Chowdown in Maywood is the newest food truck festival in New Jersey, and one of the best. Taking place on one day from 11AM to 6PM, it gathers some of the best food trucks around for a festival celebrating local vendors and goods - and the best way to show your New Jersey pride is to show up, ready to indulge!

Maywood's Chowdown is back for another year, and this year's lineup of food trucks and vendors is better than ever.

As always, there will be an assortment of fair-style concessions, including homemade lemonade.

Some favorite trucks will be returning from last year, including the popular Authentic Greek truck - featuring some of the state's best souvlaki.

However, a host of new vendors will be arriving as well - like Magic Mike's Smoked Meats, slinging delicious BBQ sliders.

For dessert, indulge in Sweet Spot Donuts - a customizable mini-donut treat that will take you right to the county fair.

For those wanting something more savory, Jersey Pickles is on hand selling some delicious deli-style cukes.

Neshanic Valley Beekeepers is another unique vendor, selling small-batch artisanal honey.

And of course, it wouldn't be a food truck event without Mister Softee and his world-famous cones!
