You’ll Want To Visit This Charming New Jersey Trading Post Over And Over Again

Trading posts have historic significance as essential stops along travel routes where patrons could exchange goods and news. They've existed for centuries but are often associated with the wild west. While you may think of them as relics from the past, one of New Jersey's most charming small towns has a very modern trading post.

Gorshin Trading Post & Supplies has been a downtown Haddonfield staple since 2014.

Housed in a former tavern built back in the 1770s, the interior is just as charming.

Gorshin Trading Post sells a little bit of everything but focuses on unique made in the USA goods and gifts.

You'll find rugged outerwear, handcrafted metal and wood pieces and plenty of quality leather.

Shop grooming and bath and body products for men and women, including those from the Neptune line, founded in Haddonfield and made in the USA.

Don't miss the pantry, which features one-of-a-kind food items from across the country, including authentic Vermont maple syrup.

If you're lucky, they'll have Kenyon's legendary Clam Cake & Fritter Mix in stock when you visit.

Another reason to visit? Frequent events that bring the community together. This Thursday, Thirsty Camel Cocktails and 1892 Chocolate will be sampling inside the Trading Post from 6-8 p.m..

They've won several awards including being featured in the "Best of South Jersey" and being named one of the best places for men's gifts in the Philadelphia area.

You never know exactly what you'll find here but you can be sure it will be good. Feel free to bring your pup along for a second opinion; they're dog friendly!

The shop is a little gem in an entire town full of terrific shops. You can find it at 125 Kings Highway East in Haddonfield, open Tuesday-Sunday. For other shops to enjoy in the area, check out this article: The Crazy One-Of-A-Kind Store You’ll Only Find In New Jersey.
