Locally Owned For More Than 20 Years The Washington General Store In New Hampshire Will Keep You Stocked

Washington General Store in New Hampshire offers a variety of goods and homecooked meals, fostering a strong community vibe.

One of our favorite things about New Hampshire is the many small towns that dot the map. From mountain towns to rural spots seemingly in the middle of nowhere, these are the places that give the Granite State its personality. And the businesses that exist within them are what keeps life chugging along. Here's a great example!

Head to the small town of Washington in Sullivan County and you're likely to find a whole lot of quiet.

That, and the unassuming Washington General Store!

This little general store has been locally owned for more than 20 years and the community has loved it the whole time. They sell just about anything you might need, including plants!

And in addition to the plants, grocery items and beverages folks love visiting for the breakfasts and lunches available every day.

The homecooked meals here are meant to satisfy and each one tastes as though it was cooked with tons of love — which, of course, it was!

Specials each day include things that might surprise you! How about a BBQ brisket that was smoked in-house for 9 hours?

And the prices are hugely affordable. This Belgian waffle comes with a choice of meat for just $5.50.

While we love the ease of finding what we need here and the delicious meals, it's the community vibe we most appreciate. Holidays here are celebrated — as are just regular days!

This is the kind of place locals love and those visiting wish they had at home!

Washington General Store is typically open Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can learn more about them through their website, or check them out on Facebook. They can be reached at 603-495-3131.
