It's appropriate that there's a speakeasy and hidden distillery inside The Mob Museum in Las Vegas. After all, then the mob was at its peak in the United States, and so was the illegal consumption of alcohol in bars like this one.

Of course, back then, they were even more hidden. People running and even patronizing these types of establishments were breaking some big laws. Today, it's just fun! You don't have to worry about the cops raiding this place, but you can still enjoy some semi-secretive, clandestine fun when you visit The Underground Speakeasy and Distillery.

To keep with the theme, this bar is hidden inside The Mob Museum. A visit to it is included with your ticket to the museum.

You can also visit The Underground Speakeasy and Distillery without visiting the museum; there's a hidden door on the exterior of the building as well so visitors can access it directly.

Either way though, you'll need the password to enter. You can find the password on the museum's website or on its social media.

If you're visiting the speakeasy without visiting the museum, you can often find a password for free admission on the bar's Facebook page.

Once you get inside, it feels like you are stepping back into time. This place is warm and welcoming. You'll love the vibe and the decor.

The bar is fully stocked. You'll also find exhibits, videos, and artifacts through which you can learn more about the Roaring Twenties and the Prohibition Era.

There's plenty of comfortable seating where you can relax with your date to enjoy the food and drinks that you order during your visit.

It's a bit dark in this bar - as it should be - and that helps to make it a romantic setting for your night out.

You can learn even more about distillers, bootleggers, and rumrunners when you take a tour of the distillery.

The still in this exhibit is a working one! It makes moonshine that you can try on a tour or order at the bar!

You'll certainly want to try one of The Underground Speakeasy & Distillery's craft cocktails. The Underground Old Fashioned, The Marlow, A Wild Hare, and the Tequileros Cooler are all beautiful, tasty, and very on theme.

You might also like to order a tasting flight of bourbons, whiskeys, or moonshines. The moonshines are all made on-site in the distillery!

Of course, you can also order a beer at The Underground, if you prefer. The Underground brews 60 gallons per month a speciality craft beer that you'll love.

Hungry? The Underground also has food! The sharable plates offered here are very satisfying. This charcuterie plate is an excellent choice.

Other options include pizza, meatballs, beer-braised beef sliders, and other great apps.

Be sure to save room for dessert, though - the desserts here are to die for! You won't want to skip this trio of cannolis.

The cheesecake is great too - and there are numerous dessert cocktails to choose from as well.

There's also live music here on a regular basis, like New Orleans-style jazz, Dixieland and blues band Dixie Flats.

Or, Amanda King & Her Prohibition Three. Amanda and her band perform classic gems from American popular music and jazz. All the music at The Underground is chosen to fit right in with the speakeasy theme.
