The Small-Town Harvest Festival in Nebraska Belongs on Your Autumn Bucket List

Fall is my favorite season of the year. The fall foliage, cooler weather, and pumpkin spice treats always put a big smile on my face. But there is nothing that puts me in the autumn spirit quite like a fall festival. Located in the tiny town of Roca is one of the best—the Roca Berry Farm Fall Festival. With more than 70 attractions for the entire family, this is one event that you’ll want to put at the top of your autumn bucket list.

Welcome to the Roca Berry Farm! Located in Roca, this farm dates back to 1980 and is a popular place to visit during the autumn months. In fact, the Roca Berry Farm Fall Festival may be one of the best small-town festivals in Nebraska. The season runs from Sept. 13 to Nov. 1, 2025, with the Roca Scary Farm opening on Sept. 19, 2025. This festival is one you’ll want to stay at the entire time.

With more than 70 attractions and activities, you will never be bored. There are many activities specific to the daytime, including a corn maze, hayrack ride, and the new Zach the Tractor.

If you visit during the evening hours, you can brave the Haunted Hayride, Haunted Manor, and Psycho Path. Just make sure your courage is high for these scary attractions. Note that guests 16 and older must have a valid photo ID for entry to the nighttime haunts.

Most of the activities are included in the price of admission, though some, like the nighttime haunted attractions, may require an additional fee. A season pass gets you unlimited daytime visits, plus a free visit to the new Roca Merry Farm Christmas event in December!

Of course, no fall festival is complete without tons of food, and this small-town event has so much to choose from, you won’t leave hungry. Their signature foods include everything from Mexican street tacos with pork carnitas and hand-dipped corn dogs to hot and fresh cider donuts and kettle corn. There is also a brand-new food wagon to check out. Be aware that not all food vendors are available during the weekdays—check the website for specific hours.
