At the turn of the 20th century, Polebridge Mercantile was providing homesteaders with supplies and a place to hear the latest news and gossip. Today, it still maintains that rich history. It's the place to go to stock up on necessities before heading into the wilderness of Glacier National Park. Take a look!
Polebridge Mercantile has been serving customers since 1914.
It's located at 265 Polebridge Loop in the little town of Polebridge.

From January 13th to April 16th, the Merc is open for winter hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Come in and warm up by the stove.
You might need chains or snow tires to get here, but once you do, you'll be cozy and warm.
Vintage items hang from the walls and ceiling, giving this adorable store a rustic feel.
Stock up on some bulk food for your backpacking trip.
You'll find everything from macaroni to trail mix.
You'll also find a pretty decent selection of grocery items here.
Polebridge Mercantile is famous for its bear claws.
Buy one to eat right now, and another to save for later.
You definitely need some fresh espresso to go with that bear claw.
You'll find some nice gift items to take home, too.
Polebridge Merc offers lots of locally-made products: pottery by local artists, homemade jams and locally-made treats. The T-shirts are even designed by a local artist!
The old glass case has handcrafted jewelry and other interesting items.
