Growing up in Montana means lots of fun things to do. From ice skating to skiing to hiking and swimming, it's like being surrounded by one big playground at all times. If you grew up here, there's a good chance you know exactly what we're talking about. But, while we love all the recreation opportunities here, sometimes you just want some good old-fashioned family fun. That's what you'll find at this dragon-themed playground in Montana. If you or your kids love inventing make-believe worlds in which to play, this is a must-visit.

The magical Dragon Hollow Playground is located in Missoula, at the same location as A Carousel for Missoula. Together they certainly make for a great day, but there's something extra-special about the playground.

Sitting right next to the Clark Fork River on Carousel Drive, you will find an area for kids (and grown-ups!) to let their imaginations run wild.

This dragon-themed playground in Montana is the result of countless research hours. The architects visited local schools, talking to children to ensure that the area offered everything they wanted.

The builders clearly got it right! From the big circular slide, spots to hang upside down and jump, and more, this is a kid's dream.

The playground opened in 2001 and underwent a refurbishment in 2019.

The area is so large, it even has a special spot for little kids to enjoy. This is a beautiful playground for kids to make believe. And, of course, for parents to watch them tire themselves out!
