This Natural Water Park in Montana Is a Summer Dream Come True
If you enjoy a good soak in rejuvenating hot mineral water, you must visit this natural water park in Montana for your relaxation needs.
For those who crave outdoor relaxation in natural waters with stunning views, Montana's mineral hot springs offer the perfect respite after a long week. Fortunately for those of us living in or visiting the Treasure State, you'll find quite a few of these natural water parks in Montana. But there is one that stands apart from the rest for the breathtaking scenery that surrounds it, and you'll agree that it is truly a little slice of heaven. Welcome to Quinn's Hot Springs Resort, situated along the beautiful Clark Fork River, just a few minutes south of the aptly-named town of Paradise.
At Quinn's Hot Springs Resort, you'll feel as though you stepped into a fairytale as you take in the serene beauty of the surrounding landscape. While you can (and dare I say should) stay at the resort lodge and enjoy some extra perks such as extended soaking hours, you don't have to be a guest to enjoy these luxurious mineral pools.
The resort pools are fed by five different natural springs, with temperatures ranging from 100°F to 106°F. There's even a cold plunge pool for that is 55 degrees. The cold plunge is suitable for individuals aged 14 and older. Two additional salt-treated pools are great for swimmers of all ages if your children are sensitive to the hotter pools. In total, there are seven pools at Quinn's Hot Springs Resort.
You might be surprised to discover that Quinn's Hot Springs Resort is a pretty magical place to spend the 4th of July while watching the fireworks from the hot spring pools. But there are other special events held throughout the year, such as the Montana Baroque Music Festival in early August.
If you plan on turning your hot springs trip into an overnight getaway, the resort offers a variety of lodging options. The rooms at one of the property's two lodges are the most affordable. However, private cabins, like the ones pictured below, offer an even more peaceful and private experience of this mountainous paradise, which is absolutely worth splurging a little extra for. There are 25 cabins in all. Some are located by the river, while others are situated in the canyon.
Harwood House Restaurant is the resort's on-site restaurant, offering a fine dining experience that takes in the sprawling mountain views. In addition to the restaurant, you may opt to have an adult beverage and casual bites at Quinn's Tavern. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the whole family will enjoy dining here. And for those looking to elevate their hot springs soaking experience, the poolside bar offers a great selection of delightfully fresh cocktails (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, including Espresso), available daily from 7 a.m. until 10:45 p.m. Take a look at the bar's full menu to get an idea of their offerings.
I highly recommend staying and soaking after dark for a more intimate and romantic experience if you plan to visit Quinn's Hot Springs Resort with a loved one. There's something special about enjoying those quiet, after-dark moments of solitude with a loved one.
If you'd like to visit the resort only to soak in the pools, day passes are available from $20 per person on Mondays through Thursdays and $22 per person on Fridays through Sundays. Please visit the Quinn's Hot Springs Resort website for current lodging options and pricing if you'd like to stay a few days and make the most of your relaxing getaway.
