Every winter, the charming town of Bigfork, Montana, transforms into a magical Christmas village. From November through New Year's Eve, you'll find all kinds of fun holiday happenings here, not to mention the town's décor, which seems to become more festive each and every year! The festive fun begins on the Saturday before Thanksgiving when a group of volunteer "elves" work diligently to decorate the town. Every downtown building gets decorated, and the results are beautiful. And this is no small feat. The town is decorated to the nines with garland, bows, wreaths, and twinkling lights. Strolling through Bigfork this time of year is absolutely magical, especially when it snows.

You'll certainly get into the holiday spirit as you continue out the day with the Holiday Art Walk, where you can stroll through town and enjoy the décor, lights, drinks, and snacks. And to end the day, you must plan to attend the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, followed by the singing of Christmas carols. This may become one of your favorite Christmas traditions in Bigfork, Montana.

And, of course, you'll love attending the annual Parade of Lights, which typically takes place on the first Saturday in December. Once it's over, be sure to stick around. Santa will be at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts to meet any children who wish to see him. This is also a wonderful time to walk through Bigfork and see downtown come to life with its festive decor and bright holiday lights. It's an easy way to get into the holiday spirit.
