Quite a few things come to mind when thinking about Montana. Snow-capped mountains are at the top of the list. There are also plenty of remote towns filled with character, deliciously rustic steakhouses, and exhilarating adventures for those who love a thrill. But, what most people don't know is that Montana is also a wine lover's paradise. There are over 50 vineyards in Montana, each one offering its own special vibe. We recommend trying to visit as many as you can. In addition to planning trips to local wineries, I also recommend attending this special wine festival in Montana featuring wines from other places. Each year this event is not only a great night, but it also helps the community.
The 26th Annual Festival of Wines takes place this year on November 4th, 2023
Hosted by the Exchange Club of Helena, this event raises money for Coats for Kids. This organization is one of the most important in the state, aiming to provide new winter coats and boots to kids in Helena and the surrounding area.
A General Admission ticket allows guests access to the event from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Throughout the night, guests can enjoy over 60 varieties of wines. There will also be a selection of microbrews and appetizers to go with your wine choices.
There's also a silent auction and raffle with fun goods from all over the state.
The Trevor Murray Band will also be on hand to offer fun tunes to enjoy throughout the night.
If you'd like a little something extra, be sure to get a VIP ticket for entry that begins at 6 p.m.
In addition to early access to all the best wines, VIP tickets also come with a 1 in 125 chance to win a pair of diamond earrings valued at over $2,100.
Tickets range from $60 to $100 depending on if you choose VIP or General Admission.
Either way, this is a great cause to support while also (safely!) enjoying a fun night out.
In 2023, the Festival of Wines takes place on November 4th, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Best Western Premier Helena Great Northern Hotel. You can learn more by visiting the Exchange Club of Helena's Festival of Wines website. Or, you can follow the Exchange Club of Helena on Facebook. You can book your tickets online, too. If you plan on drinking, you'll want to book a room at the hotel. Or, consider a local vacation rental. Note that the wines offered here are not local to Montana, but from a variety of other areas.
