Ride A 200-Foot-Tall Ferris Wheel To Enjoy Sweeping Views Of The St. Louis Skyline In Missouri
The St. Louis Wheel at Union Station offers breathtaking views and year-round rides in climate-controlled gondolas.
How lucky are we to have such a breathtaking skyline in Missouri? We can, of course, drink in the stellar views from high atop the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. And, now, just three miles away from the famous Missouri landmark sits the brand new 200-foot-tall Ferris Wheel that promises sweeping views day or night all year long. A ride on the St. Louis Wheel just might become a new tradition every time you visit the city.
Climb aboard one of 42 climate-controlled gondolas for a 15-minute ride on the St. Louis Wheel, a spectacular new attraction at historic Union Station.
The temperate in individual gondolas remains at a cozy 72-degrees Fahrenheit all year around.
The 200-foot wheel, with a whopping 1.6-million LED lights, boasts views of up to 20 miles away on clear days. Even better? No matter when you're visiting St. Louis, you'll be able to take a spin on the wheel that's...
...open 365 days a year. Even if you go for a spin on the coldest day of the year, you'll stay warm and toasty in your climate-controlled gondola that comfortably seats eight guests.
If you're a bit of a daredevil, purchase tickets for the VIP gondola that features a glass floor.
Your ride on the St. Louis Wheel will take approximately 15 minutes, with each half rotation taking just 60 seconds.
Tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for children. If you opt for the VIP gondola, you'll pay $50 a seat. A maximum of four people can ride in the VIP gondola.
However, the fun doesn't stop once your ride is over. You'll find plenty more to do at Union Station, including going for a ride on the classic Carousel.
You might also want to play a round or two of mini golf or treat yourself to a scrumptious milkshake at the Soda Fountain at Union Station.
During the winter of 2019-2020, Union Station will debut a mirror maze and a massive ropes course. The St. Louis Aquarium is also set to open.
