The Bug’s Life Themed Playground In Missouri That’s Oh-So Special
Brendan's Playground in Missouri offers an all-inclusive, bug-themed play area for kids of all abilities.
How many times during childhood was a trip to the playground the highlight of your day? Sure, we had fun just playing in our yard or on the front porch, but going to the playground meant hanging out with a bunch of other kids as we let our imaginations run wild. This playground in Missouri, which boasts a bug's life theme, is sure to set your kiddos' imaginations on fire and might even stir some fond memories for you.
Brendan's Playground, tucked in O'Fallon Westhoff Memorial Park, is the place to be for outdoor fun any time of the year. However, it's so much more than your typical playground, which you'll quickly discover.
Named in honor of local resident Brendan Schmitt, who has the rare disorder Thompson Syndrome, the park is all-inclusive, which means kids of all abilities can participate and have a ton of fun.
The popular Missouri playground opened in 2011 and has been a hit ever since.
The popular playground in Missouri has just what you'd expect at a playground - classic swings, toddler swings, and ADA-accessible swings. The kiddos will likely love the flying saucer swings, too.
There's also an accessible toddler area with ramps, so all little ones can have a blast.
Watch the kiddos as they maneuver their way up a spider web...
Climb up ramps, slip down slides, and...
Imagine they're aliens on a flying saucer swing.
Kids of all ages (and adults) will love the music section, where everyone can make music. (If you've seen the movie Big, you'll likely recognize the piano.)
Hot summer days at Brendan's Playground mean cooling off on the splash pad. Relax on a bench as the kids run back and forth (or you might want to jump in and cool off, too).
Learn more about Brendan's Playground on the O'Fallon Parks & Rec website. Or, stop by its Facebook page.
