...the newly reconstructed Mark Twain Memorial Lighthouse, which opened in June 2019. Your walk will begin at the bottom of Cardiff Hill.
Enjoy the views as you ascend up the 244 stairs to the lighthouse, built in honor of Mark Twain, that originally opened in 1935.
If you're unable to walk the stairs to reach the lighthouse, you will find handicap parking on Cardiff Hill Road, so you can still enjoy the views.
Spectacular views of the enchanting town of Hannibal will reveal themselves as you grow closer and closer to the lighthouse that's nestled on 10 acres.
Even if you can't get to the top, you can still enjoy spellbinding views of the lighthouse from Hannibal. A one-minute light show, illuminating the lighthouse, will occur every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 9 p.m.
During the weekdays, the lights in the Mark Twain Memorial Lighthouse will shine white while colors will glow on the weekend.
