This Mississippi Paddleboarding Adventure Is Perfect For People Of All Ages

There are lots of places in Mississippi where you can rent canoes or kayaks. However, those aren’t the only options for spending a day on the water. Paddleboarding is another great choice. And thanks to Paddles Up in Ocean Springs, getting out on the water is easy – no matter your age or skill level. Take a look:

Paddles Up is located in downtown Ocean Springs. Aside from selling and renting paddleboards, the shop offers paddleboarding classes, lessons, and excursions.

Whether you’re 8 or 80, the skilled instructors will have you out on the water in a matter of minutes. No prior experience is required.

And to make things even easier, Paddles Up provides all the necessary equipment. So all you have to bring is yourself.

Just as the name implies, the Beginners Class is perfect for first-timers. You’ll learn how to stand up on the board as well as other important techniques.

Group and individual lessons are also available. Perfect for those with hectic lives, the lessons can be planned around your schedule.

Already a skilled paddleboarder? You’ll probably be more interested in one of the excursions offered by Paddles Up.

There are three excursions to choose from. The Front Beach excursion includes miles of white sand and the possibility of spotting a dolphin (or two).

Paddle around boats and get to know the area wildlife on the Inner Harbor Park excursion. Or, select the Davis Bayou excursion for close-up views of the Ocean Springs Harbor, natural oaks, and area wildlife.

Really want to test your skills? Consider taking a Paddlefit Yoga class. One session is $35 and a paddleboard is provided. Use your own board and the class will only cost you $15.
