Frightening fun awaits at Mississippi’s newest haunted attraction, The Paper Warehouse. Not your typical haunt, this one is more like a theatrical production – complete with a plot, realistic scenes, and lots of terrifying touches.
Get your fill of scares at The Paper Warehouse in Hattiesburg! Hosted by Hattiesburg Civic Light Opera (HCLO), it will be open for three days only - October 22nd, 23rd, and 24th.
It all takes place at the Hattiesburg Community Arts Center, which has been (realistically) transformed into an abandoned newspaper office.
There’s much more to the haunt than meets the eye, though. There’s a whole back story, which explains that the abandoned warehouse was once home to the newspaper, the Hub City Ledger.
As the story goes, a freak accident in the 1960s killed dozens of staff members. But now, some of those employees have returned from beyond the grave.
During your visit, you’ll get to walk through the dilapidated newspaper building, which contains a darkroom, office, warehouse, and printing press.
And with scares waiting around every corner, it’s sure to be a real fright!
There are a few things to keep in mind before visiting The Paper Warehouse. First, anyone under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Second, it’s wheelchair accessible, so everyone can get in on the scary fun.
Remember, The Paper Warehouse will be open October 22, 23, and 24, 2021. For more info on The Paper Warehouse or to buy tickets, check out the Hattiesburg Civic Light Opera website. And don’t forget to like the Hattiesburg Civic Light Opera Facebook page.
